Why I wanted to create Systemize Accounting
Michael Moffatt | CEO My mission is simple: to remove the mystery from your numbers. I started Systemize Accounting to break down the barriers that keep business financials hidden from owners. I believe every owner deserves clarity, confidence, and a cost-effective partner in their corner. Years ago, fresh out of university, I was looking for any accounting job I could cut my teeth on. I was fortunate enough to be hired part-time at a young startup company focused on tax services. I worked seven days a week between two jobs with the simple goal of making a lasting impression. The "audition" period eventually turned into a front-row seat to a massive industry shift: the move from dusty paper ledgers and stationary software to the expansive world of the cloud. Having spent over a decade being a part of this evolution, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful modern accounting can be. It’s not just about compliance; it’s about expediting growth and decision-making. Today, nothing excites me more than using that expertise to help other business owners steer their own ships with confidence.
